Sailing Charleston

The oldest and largest city in South Carolina, Charleston is rich in history. It’s the home of Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the American Civil War were fired in 1861. The harbor is also the site of the first successful submarine attack in history in 1864. Today, Charleston is not only one of the most picturesque cities in the United States, but it was also voted the No. 1 City in the World by readers of Travel + Leisure. We aim to stay true to Charleston’s reputation based on hospitality and kindness during our excursions, and 100 percent satisfaction is our goal for all guests who sail aboard the Intrepid.
